Since this site is intended to provide resources for intermediate Hindi students, defining this target audience may be a good first place to start. This site does not include any tutorials on the Devanagari script, nor does it include any information on basic grammar, such as forming case suffixes or simple verb inflections, except for brief reviews of verbs and postpositions. The grammar notes are intended for those learners who have not yet grasped all of the grammar of the language, but are able to read and write simple sentences and have mastered a core set of vocabulary. The vocabulary listings, as such, also do not include any "basic" words such as colors, common objects, or the like, instead focusing on more specialized topics of conversation. Still, the category of "Intermediate" is a broad one, and it is hoped that learners of a wide variety of skill levels, from those who have just mastered the basic grammar of Hindi to those who have studied it for quite some time already can gain from the resources here.
